CCAAIBWS Hosts PD Session on Developing a Concept-Driven Curriculum and Subject Integration

On February 18, 2025, the Central and West Asia & IB World Schools (CCAAIBWS) held a professional development session titled “How to Develop a Concept-Driven Curriculum and Subject Integration.” The session was facilitated by Sabina Karimova from the European Azerbaijan School, focusing on the principles of concept-based learning and effective strategies for integrating subjects across the IB curriculum. Educators explored how big ideas can drive deeper understanding and how interdisciplinary planning enhances student learning. This workshop is part of CCAAIBWS’s mission to support innovative curriculum design and educator collaboration across the region.
