Baku IB Onsite Workshop 1

Caucasus & Central Asia Association of IB World Schools (CCAAIBWS)

Empowering Educators Across the Region

The Caucasus & Central Asia Association of IB World Schools (CCAAIBWS) successfully held the
first IB Onsite Workshop of the year in Baku, Azerbaijan, bringing together educators
from across the Caucasus and Central Asia. The event aimed to enhance IB teaching practices and
strengthen collaboration among IB World Schools in the region.

Participants—including teachers, coordinators, and school leaders—took part in interactive sessions focused on
inquiry-based learning, curriculum design, assessment strategies, and innovative educational technologies.
Through hands-on activities and practical discussions, educators gained tools and insights to apply directly
in their classrooms.

Led by experienced IB facilitators, the workshop created a dynamic platform for professional dialogue, enabling
participants to share best practices and explore new perspectives on teaching and learning within the IB framework.
The event also provided valuable networking opportunities among regional IB educators.

“This workshop set the tone for a year of collaboration and professional growth,” said one of the facilitators.
“It empowered teachers to bring new ideas and strategies into their classrooms while strengthening regional
connections among IB World Schools.”

The workshop concluded with a certification ceremony, celebrating the commitment and engagement
of all participants. CCAAIBWS continues to promote professional growth and innovation through its ongoing series
of onsite and online workshops, supporting the advancement of IB education across the Caucasus and Central Asia.
