On May 15th, CCAAIBWS hosted a professional development (PD) session facilitated by Ms. Anara Makirova from Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Astana, focusing on the topic: “Assessment Strategies in the DP”.

During the session, Ms. Makirova shared a range of effective strategies for assessing student learning in the Diploma Programme, emphasizing both formative and summative approaches. Participants explored best practices, engaged in collaborative discussions, and gained practical insights to enhance assessment planning and implementation in their DP classrooms. The session was both informative and inspiring, reinforcing the importance of meaningful assessment in supporting student success.
