CEO&Director of EAS and CCAAIBWS Chairman, Mr. Francesco Banchini, and EAS Secondary Principal, Ms. Lynda Thompson, conducted a workshop on International Baccalaureate (IB) Essentials at the Azerbaijan Teacher Development Centre. The workshop provided an opportunity for participants to explore the central tenets of the IB program and its significance in education.

The workshop focused on the connection between the IB learner profile and the concept of international mindedness. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the different aspects of the IB program through research, engagement, and reflection. The event also examined how the IB programme can be applied to local contexts through inquiry and action, and discussed the role of the IB in teaching and learning.

The workshop offered valuable insights into the essential elements of the IB programme, emphasizing how they can promote holistic and inquiry-based education. Participants were awarded the International CCAAIBWS Association certificate, recognizing their achievement and contributions to the field of education.

The workshop was a resounding success, thanks to the efforts of Mr. Banchini and Ms. Thompson in organizing the event. It also reflects the commitment of the European Azerbaijan School to providing high-quality education and professional development opportunities for its staff and the wider education community.

The event was well-received by participants who expressed their appreciation for the insights gained during the workshop. The success of the event has also sparked interest in similar training opportunities in the future. The European Azerbaijan School, through its commitment to promoting educational excellence, continues to provide a platform for teachers to engage with innovative and transformative approaches to education.
