How do leaders use their intelligences to navigate complexity with clarity and purpose?

During his session, “Navigating through the Leadership Intelligences and Capabilities towards a Bright Future,” Mr. Francesco looked closely at the seven intelligences and how each one guides our decisions, relationships, and responses to change. From strategic intelligence that helps us see the bigger picture to heuristic intelligence that supports quick thinking in uncertain moments, these capabilities influence how we lead, collaborate, and build trust within our communities.

In the context of school leadership—where human relationships, wellbeing, and communication shape everything—they discussed how these intelligences can turn challenges into opportunities, strengthen team culture, and create supportive environments where people feel seen and valued.

This conversation aligns deeply with the NEASC theme, Meeting the Moment. Leadership today requires more than expertise; it requires presence, emotional resilience, and a mindset ready to adapt to rapidly shifting circumstances.

Connecting with so many dedicated leaders reminded once again that our profession moves forward when we reflect, challenge our perspectives, and learn together.
